All stories are visions from the past, or anticipations from the future. During its Day as a Capital, Palazzo San Gervasio wil start a journey through stories and visions which include music, images, video maps and new technologies.

On 15th and 16th June, the community of Palazzo San Gervasio will be involved in three storytellings and in the sharing of:

1. A journey between stories and visions.

In 1255, a famous guest visits Borgo Sancti Gervasii: his name is Manfredi. Son of Fredrick the second, who is gravely ill, asks the village 'witch', who can tell the future and will help him to meet the most important characters of his story. So here he is in front of Dante and Virgil, involved in brigandage events in Basilicata, meeting the founder of the art gallery D’Errico, and in the end witnessing the most important day for his town, which will become the European capital of culture for a day.

2. The Places of Art and Culture

The present becomes part of the narrative, turning the village into a MultiCultureMedia Borough, which uses technology to stage a show and tell traditions, customs and practices of the community, culturally representing a stepping stone to the future.

3. Back to the future

Now the future breaks into the party in Palazzo San Gervasio, with dances and songs which accompany the participants to the finale of this journey in time, as a starting point for the future of the community.
