Born in 1992, Concettina Sarlo lives in Colobraro, a small Lucanian village close to the Ionian Sea. In 2014 she did a work experience for the company ariaprofumata®, for whom she collaborated in 2015 at Expo Milan inside the Cenacolo di Leonardo on the “The Last Supper. Contemporary sharings” installation. She dealt with market analysis, new trends and competition,and olfactory market research. The experience gained through planningwith EU funds as Vice President of the cultural association Sognando il Magico Paese di Colobraro(Dreaming of the Magical Town of Colobraro) in 2014 influenced her career greatly. In 2015 she completed a degree in Tourism at the University of Pisa, writing her dissertation in “marketing olfattivo applicator al Turismo “ (olfactory marketing applied to tourism), analysing in-depth the methodology of promoting a region through sensorial marketing. In 2015 she held the role of Junior Marketing Advertising Executive in the company Gieffe Services in Senise, performing duties such as the launch of the BasilicataCityGuide product, brand development and market analysis, strengthening relations with public institutions, museums and tourist attractions of interest to the company. In 2016 she was on the staff of the brand new DanaideResort 4* in Scanzano Jonico. Fired by her passion for tourism connected to her beloved homeland she gained the qualification of Cultural Designer in 2017, after completing a master’s in design and communication for the cultural heritage of the Basilicata, writing her dissertation in “Europrogettazione turistica e analisi del territorio di Basilicata”(European Project Design and Management in Tourism and Analysis of the Basilicata Area),with the managing authority of ERDF Basilicata Operational Programmes acting as her supervisor.
