Vincenzo Paolino
He studied piano at the Conservatory of Music in Potenza where he obtained the Diploma. Later he had a Master degree in Arts and Cultural management in Lucca. He is the founder of a cultural association that organizes concerts and theatre performances that have been appreciated by the artistic community of Basilicata.
He is the Director of the historical Vulcanica Live Festival that has hosted many important artists such as, just to mention a few, Nicola Piovani, Vinicio Capossela, John Scofield, Stefano Bollani, Giovanni Allevi, Enrico Rava, DaniloRea, Paolo Fresu, Ludovico Einaudi, Fabio Concato, Cristina Donà, Musica Nuda, Afterhours, Max Gazzè. He is a piano player and composer for the theatre-song and promotional videos. He has always collaborated with the Lucanian creative community, thus participating in the forerunner project called Urban Vision of Matera as the European Capital of Culture. He is a teacher of music at primary schools and private schools. He is the founder of the leisure centre “Bambini in fiore” where he works as an educator. He is the logistics assistant of the Festival Città delle Cento Scale, that is an important multidisciplinary event in the South of Italy hosting renowned foreign dance and contemporary theatre companies. Artistic Director of a live music club, he has always been interested in emerging young artists and in everything related to independent art. He fell in love with Matera in 2014 when he started his stage at Matera 2019 Committee during the crucial months of the candidacy period. He was involved in the event of Materadio, the Festival of Rai Radio 3 and he has carried out many tasks at the Foundation Matera Basilicata 2019 where he is in charge with Incoming, Hospitality and General Administration.
