Rossella Tantone
Born on the 6th December 1986, Rossella Tantone obtained an MA first-class honours degree from the University of Rome (RomaTre) in International Affairs specializing in studies on peace, democracy and conflict resolution. During her studies she took part in the “Global South-South Development Expo 2011” organized by FAO and had the chance to focus on the major themes concerning diplomacy at international and European level, on the United Nations Organization with its several departments and agencies, on the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe as well as on the various Non-Governmental Organizations.
Being very interested in European and international issues, she pursued the Master in European Projects’ Management-Europe 2020. Since July 2012 she has worked as a Europlanner for the Provincial Administration of Matera with TECLA, an association of local authorities involved in local cooperation as well as in writing and managing European projects. During this period, she has acquired competences in planning project ideas through the techniques of Project Cycle Management, in developing, monitoring and administrative management of several European programmes such as LIFE+ Nature and Biodiversity, Erasmus Plus, INTERREG IVC, MED, Accessible Tourism, COSME and Europe for citizens. For two years she was a member of the Unesco Youth Committee Basilicata belonging to the National Commission for Unesco and dealt with fundraising and treasury. In 2016 she started to work for Matera-Basilicata 2019 Foundation in the administration area, thus gaining experience in administrative procedures supporting the implementation of the projects included in the candidacy Bidbook for the European Capital of Culture 2019. Dynamic, keen on travels and challenges, she is a resourceful person both in her private and in her working life.
