Emilio Aquino was born in Rome in 1991. He completed his high school diploma in classical studies and then gained a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the La Sapienza University in Rome. From 2015 to 2016 he lived in Jena (Germany), where he carried out research projects in German Idealism at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität. In 2017 he was granted a doctoral fellowship by the “Tor Vergata” University in Rome.

He collaborated with the FAI in setting up the “Wunderkammer” by Athanasius Kircher at the Roman College. He also worked as a volunteer for the NGO “Brontosaurus Movement Jesenicky” in the Czeck Republic and he was then selected to take part in “Generazione Cultura”, the higher education project promoted by the MiBact and the Luiss Business School.

After a 6-month internship at the Matera-Basilicata 2019 Foundation, he started to work in the Finance and Administration Area of Matera-Basilicata 2019 Foundation, where he deals with the  physical and financial monitoring processes of the cultural programme as well as with the implementation of the Monitoring and Evaluation Plan.
