Matera 2019

Elisa Giuliano is an architect, contemporary dancer, researcher and exhibition designer based between Matera and Berlin. She is currently a fellow of Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam, and collaborates with the architectural studio Kuehn Malvezzi on publications and exhibitions. Among previous experiences she was part of the interdisciplinary practice Studio Lukas Feireiss where she was dealing with the production of international symposiums, exhibitions and publications. In 2017 she performed in a staging of Anna Halprin's "Blank Placard Dance" at the 29th festival Tanz im August in Berlin and in 2016 worked as a dancer in the production "Danze sulla Debolezza" by Virgilio Sieni presented at the 10th Venice Dance Biennale. In 1996 Elisa attended her first ballet class and continued training as a dancer for more than fifteen years experimenting with different movement techniques and choreographers. In 2016 she obtained a Master Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning at the Polytechnic School of Genova.
