“Mediterranean, Mirror of the World” is the theme chosen for the 2026 edition—an invitation to explore the Mediterranean as a symbolic space of encounter, memory, and dialogue, capable of speaking to both the present and the future of humanity. The programme is structured around its main competitive sections—feature films, short films, animation, and documentaries—complemented by workshops on screenwriting and script development, as well as panel discussions on filmmaking, film marketing, and international distribution. Together, these activities aim to provide emerging filmmakers and young professionals with meaningful opportunities for exchange, learning, and professional growth. Among the key innovations of this year’s edition is the launch of MAMA, a new international film market designed to support emerging filmmakers and independent film projects.
