Michelangelo Pistoletto’s exhibition Love Difference – Mar Mediterraneo is on display at the Madonna delle Virtù and San Nicola dei Greci Rock Complex in Matera until 28 November 2026.
Curated by Mariadelaide Cuozzo, lecturer in Contemporary Art History at the University of Basilicata, the exhibition forms part of the programme for Matera 2026 – Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue, an international initiative that places the city at the heart of a shared reflection on the Mediterranean as a space for encounter, cooperation and cultural exchange.
Promoted by Cittadellarte and the University of Basilicata, the initiative is organised by Opera Arte e Arti di Matera in collaboration with the Circolo Culturale La Scaletta, a historic institution in the city which has made available the exhibition venue at Madonna delle Virtù and San Nicola dei Greci, previously the setting for major exhibitions dedicated to contemporary sculpture.
