Materadio - the RAI Radio3 Celebration - is on its way.

Musicians, writers, artists, architects, philosophers in Matera from 23 to 25 September to reflect on “Utopias and dystopias” in the European capital of culture for 2019

Stefano Bollani, Armando Punzo, Edoardo Albinati, Lucio Caracciolo, Umberto Galimberti, Moni Ovadia, the Symphonic Orchestra of Abruzzo, Peppe Servillo, The Rulli Frulli band, Francisco Piccolo, Daniele Sepe, Gianfranco Baruchello, Luigi Zoja, Guido Tonelli and Franco Farinelli are just a few of the protagonists of “Materadio - the RAI Radio3 Celebration” scheduled to take place in Matera.

In this edition, the theme of the event will be “Utopias and Dystopias”, to reflect on one of the 5 clusters in Matera's candidacy dossier, European capital of culture for 2019, but also to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the publication of Utopia by Thomas Moore.

THE NEXT NEST, an artistic interdisciplinary project dedicated to the subject of living for the 21st International Triennial Exhibition in Milan 2016, is hosting the Matera-Basilicata 2019 Foundation for the press conference presenting Materadio 2016, which will be held on 7 September, at 12 noon, at the Triennale Expo Gate in Milan.
The following people will be participating in the press conference: Marino Sinibaldi, RAI Radio3 director, Aurelia Sole and Paolo Verri, president and director of the Matera-Basilicata 2019 Foundation, Gianpiero Cavazza, deputy mayor of Modena, Nicola Campogrande, artistic director of MITO and author of the musical score that will be played by the symphonic orchestra of Abruzzo.
